Family Intervention Specialist – Intensive Family Support Service West Staffordshire

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an expanding service created to support families with complex needs including parental substance misuse and child safeguarding. The team empowers and support families to create and sustain environments that reduce risk and enable families to meet their potential in the context of their family dynamic, parenting capacity, children development, stress and environmental factors.

Purpose of job:

To provide an intensive intervention service for families, based on holistic family based approaches and evidence-based interventions, giving primary consideration to children in regard to child protection and safeguarding and ensuring empowering approaches to all family members.

Salary: £23,154 (pro-rata)

Hours: 30hrs per week ( Fixed term until March 2020 plus 5 year extension subject to contract renewal)

Promote a culture of safe and effective parental functioning, where safeguarding concerns are identified as a result of domestic abuse, mental health and parental substance use.

Deliver high quality family support activities and practices, which result in positive outcomes for families and improved safeguarding of children.

Support the development of the provision, in order to advance the reputation of the service as a quality provider and advocate for vulnerable children and families.

Whether you  wish to give something back to the community or gain new skills to build up your CV, feel free to get in touch regarding any volunteering possibilities that may be available across our services. We have a number of volunteers taking a variety of roles within ADS including Administrators, Mentors and Group Co-facilitators.
