Prescribed drug addiction needs national support
Last month SKY news visited our One Recovery Oldham service to speak to staff and service users about their experiences with prescribed drug addiction.
The news piece was part of a national growing concerns that prescribed drug addiction is a hidden crisis which may effect many more people in the UK than are currently known. ADS Director Gary Oulds backed Drugwise’s recommendation for a national helpline and suggested that more dedicated services be funded.
