Service User Satisfaction Survey

During June and July 2009 we carried out a survey across ADS to find out how satisfied our clients are with the treatment provided. All 30 services took part, and 604 questionnaires were completed, representing 23% of the clients who came into ADS during the survey period. Overall the results were very positive, with the majority of service users saying they were satisfied with their treatment, and that it had made a difference to their lives. Substantial numbers reported a reduction in their drug or alcohol use (93%), and improvements ion their physical and mental health (85% and 82% respectively) since starting ADS.

The survey also highlighted some areas for potential development, including the need for more support for partners and family members. Most clients (79%) said that ADS is different to other treatment services they have been to: they think we are most supportive, helpful, friendly and flexible, that we’re non-judgemental, and that we listen more than other services do.
