What happens when we meet?

First we find out what you want and need. Then, together, we develop a plan to tackle your concerns and work out goals for your treatment. This plan might include individual counselling sessions, joining a selection of groups within our project or referral on to residential and rehabilitation programmes. Look at the services below and then see what's included in the "Structured Integrated Day Care Programme".

Services

Community Alcohol Service

We're open daily and Tuesday & Thursday evenings to provide advice, information and support. After assessment, an agreed care plan will be drawn up to meet needs. The care plan is reviewed regularly. We also offer support groups, these include social and leisure activities. We arrange in-patient and residential care.

Primary healthcare

Our staff work in GP surgeries and health centres to offer shared care in assessing, screening and supporting patients with an alcohol problem. We help those in the early stages of dependence to break the habit. We also train healthcare teams in assessment, screening and interventions.

Arrest Referral Scheme

Our staff work in the Police Station and offer advice, information and counselling to drug arrestees. We help those with a drug dependence to break the habit. We refer clients to other relevant agencies.

Drug Day Care

We provide support to clients who are drug free or have been stabilised by medication. After assessment, an agreed care plan will be drawn up to meet needs. The care plan is reviewed regularly. We also offer support groups, these include social and leisure activities.

Home Detoxification

We help people to understand and deal with drink problems, giving them and their families day-to-day support. Through referral to the Community Psychiatric Nurses, detoxification can be provided.

EDEN Project

Culturally sensitive service is offered to the black and minority ethnic communities. Provision of confidential advice and information is available in Bangla, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. The project raises awareness for members of these communities of substance misuse and providing cultural awareness for health and social care agencies.
