You will be invited to an information session at Cookson Street which will allow you to make an informed decision whether the treatment we offer is suitable to your needs. If you wish to enter treatment you will be offered an assessment appointment for normally within seven working days.
We provide advice, information and support. The first step is one-to-one counselling, after which we can offer options of home detoxification, In-patient detoxification, community care assessment, working within groups, plus social and leisure activities. Where required, we arrange In-patient and residential care. If you are housebound we can visit you.
We have staff in many G.P. surgeries and clinics where information, advice and counselling on alcohol misuse is available. If appropriate, referral into the main alcohol service is undertaken, should you wish to follow this path. Access to this service is through referral from G.Ps and surgery staff.
Staff offer advice, information, screening and brief intervention in a variety of Non medical settings where anyone can go along to access information they may require either for themselves or for someone else. Please phone the centre for further information.
On completion of treatment either in Primary Care or in Community Alcohol Service you will be able to access our aftercare service for additional support, ongoing therapeutic treatment and counseling, social activities and drop in facilities.
We offer, advice, support, assessment and access into treatment from within the custody or the court areas. If accepted we offer referral into appropriate services and support through counselling, social care assistance and drop in facilities until treatment is available at other agencies.
ADS centres offer an exciting range of Therapeutic and Complimentary therapies, educational training and social activities. Ring us or come and see us for details.
