"I could not have got better if I did not have ADS. I feel that the support and sessions have been so positive that I feel that I can have a plan and the opportunity to move forward with my life. "

ADS Client

ADS (Addiction Dependency Solutions) is the leading regional charity delivering drug and alcohol services across the north of England.  We have over thirty service centres across the region working with in excess of 17,000 people last year.

Through our thirty year history we know only too well the devastating impact addiction and dependency can have not only on the individuals concerned but families, friends and the wider community. Knowing that one size does not fit all, we treat everyone who comes to us as an individual, tailoring each treatment programme to their particular needs. We never write anyone off, we never give up on them. We are positive about change and believe that given the right support anyone can turn their lives around.

"What I like most about ADS are the staff.  They have all shown a keen interest in my progress which has encouraged me to lead a positive and abstinent lifestyle."

"The staff are friendly and understanding.  They cater for my every need."

Minister Visits Ground Breaking ADS Service in Oldham

On Monday 21st September ADS Oldham hosted a Ministerial Visit from Gillian Merron MP, Minister for Public Health. She met with clients and staff at our service in Oldham but in particular was keen to learn more about ADS Oldham's unique Benzo service. This is one of the very few services in the country which offers support and help to individuals on prescribed benzodiazepines, with the aim of supporting clients to reduce their dependency or addiction. She also spent time looking around our other services at ADS Oldham.
